if they plant that lake with smaller fish you will often have luck Trolling around areas that where stocked especially early in the season.

Ahh, they do plant the lake in the spring with smaller fish...makes sense. I think she mentioned that it would have just been plated too. So, guess she knew where to troll. :)

Another name is cape gooseberries. I had them and they grew like crazy. They are kin of the tomatoes and tomatilloes. They have a slightly pineapple, tomatoe taste. You only eat them after they fall from the plant very ripe. When green they can give you a poisoning of sorts. You can plant from seed. They grow quickly and end up being almost invasive here. Coming back from fallen seed each yr,

Kathy if I could put up a pict. I would post you a vase of my peonies. The cold this winter was their cup of tea
.
Oh! unfortunately, it seems I had a brainstem stroke last yr. Now I am getting small weird seizure like spells. The Dr. has put me on meds today. I am no worse than before, just found out the cause. Actually, I am doing better. My dels are doing well. Love those chicks with the wide loads. LOL

Good luck with your health issues. We are so lucky to have the knowledge we have in the medical field today.

Have to say...love love your avatar. I am waiting on my peonies to pop out. We face the north, and that is where my bush is. I love them! That's a beauty in your avatar.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. This morning I decorated my wagon for Memorial Day, not that anyone will see it at the speed they drive by!

Kathy, you are in my thoughts. I know this is a hard time for you.

I lifted all the broodies today to see what's going on. The two girls in Coop #3 changed nest boxes leaving 6 chocolate orp eggs to get cold and quit. One of them moved to a new nest box, sat on two non-fertile CL eggs, cracked them and now the egg and goo is stuck under her wings! One Marans is sitting in the floor on one non-fertile Marans egg. Two Icelandic pullets in Coop 1 are sitting on Icelandic eggs. I am going to leave them alone and see how they do. (oops, spoke too soon, one is off her nest and is fighting the other one for her eggs!) Stop the madness!

Lukka is sitting on a few chocolate orps and I am leaving her alone.

Tonight all the broodies are being moved to coop #1 and the two non broody Icelandcis in there are moving in with Isi in Coop 5! I am going out now to create the Broodieville Condo Complex. Let the chick fights begin!

We are learning light painting they week in class. It is where you work in a totally dark room, open your shutter for 30 seconds and illuminate the food with only a penlight. Another student wrote something very nice and encouraging about my photos on my blog. I made her a light painting than you card!

Guess what Hang...they hadn't stocked the lake yet! She just got home and had the rest of the story. She says it's the first big one they have seen this year. They are just moving around looking for food. Lucky her.
