Those pictures are so sweet.
My dogs are rarely leashed, so it is usually quite an adventure when they are - Bella the Nut thinks the leash is a ropey toy, grabs it and slings her 40# around at the end, and Max the Dachshund thinks it is an instrument of torture that means he must have been Very Bad.
Mine is rarely leashed as well, she has the run of 5 acres. But when I pull out the leash, she thinks she is going on a car trip. And one way or another, you are not leaving her behind. This happened when she saw me packing due to the fire. She knows she's busted, and I had a heck of a time getting her out of the trunk.
It's your grandmotherly right, or so I'm told.
