Styrofoam is like crack to chickens

Haha yes it is... I have several coops that HAD styrofoam insulation lining the ceiling that now has big holes in it where the birds can reach it when they roost... so much for insulation....

When people ask, "Can my chicken eat X?" And people respond, "Oh, chickens just know what is safe to eat- if they eat it, then it's good for them..." I always laugh and tell myself they must not have ever had a chicken find a piece of styrofoam!

Egg on my face. I had a piece of Styrofoam in the coop (for insulation) and just found out they ate it, every bit of it.

Oh no! Hopefully it passes through okay.

Final count on fertile eggs in the incubator is six!

Don't know if the Daddy is Isi or Kaspar. I assume it is not Isi.

I am not going to collect any more more eggs for hatching until I am sure the fertility is from the cockerel they are paired with. Should be three weeks from the time they moved in with the new cockerel, right?

Wait 30 days. There will be a small percentage chance of the original cock bird being the sire even then.
