Speckled Hen I agree - dental problems do certainly affect your over all health - they should be covered under medicare and every other health insurance policy. I have a mouthful of trouble thanks to a former dentist who left her mark on every tooth she touched - and no $$$$$$ to take care of them.

Mary, what if you don't cut a hot loaf you just nibble on it? I'm sure it doesn't change the texture at all. You are supposed to eat bread hot fromm the oven - not use it as a room decoration.

Kelly, you never cut the loaf while warm, much less hot.

It changes the texture, according to my instructor.
Well excuse me for not having my manners. I could tear it apart instead.

I'd still be eating it HOT. Hot bread is way better than cold bread. In this house, there is never any bread leftovers anyway.

My house smells so good, sap has been simmering on the stove all evening.
Yummy!

Mary, I had a molar pulled today. This same tooth in the past has had both a crown and a root canal and now, all that money is down the drain. Ack, hate dental stuff! They want to tell you that your teeth affect your entire body yet they won't put dental care in with your regular medical insurance AS THEY SHOULD.

Hope all you Stella thread folks are doing well. Been quilting up a storm, trying to complete a huge hand quilted Dresden Plate quilt for a 95 yr old great grandma who can no longer see to finish her masterpiece. Needless to say, today was not a quilting day.
I have a tooth like that except the dentist wanted to crown it. It would have cost $350 which we don't have. He did put a temporary filling in it. Now the tooth is broke so I expect it will have to come out. It's not acting up so I just keep it clean.

There was an faith healer in the National Enquirer a few years ago who prayed and peoples teeth grew in. Wonder what he charges? Perhaps I should try to find him and avoid the dentist all together.

Don't know if he accepts insurance or not.

This already had a crown and a root canal and nothing else could be done except a very expensive bridge, which would necessitate drilling into a tooth which had never had dental work on it before. No way. That opens up a whole new can of worms. Not doing it. There are enough other teeth that show that will have to be dealt with in the future, super old crowns and such that will have to be replaced. So, this one will just be a big hole permanently.

Sorry for your tooth issues Cyn.

Thanks, Kel. It is what it is. Makes me crazy that others don't take care of their teeth and never have the issues I've had. I've about decided lots of it is genetic. It feels much better today but weird not having a tooth there.
