Dawn Ultra Platinum "- Power Clean power of an overnight soak in 3 minutes." is really good stuff. I tried a sample size and ended up going back for the biggest one.
I wouldn't think 3 minutes will be enough but, when I go back (when I remember to) the gunk is loose and rinses right off. I consider it too good to waste on just messy dishes, I save it for the troublesome ones. Otherwise I discovered plain old Ajax works on everything else.

Thanks Diva. I've been using plain old generic but Dawn probably works better.

Have to laugh Rob, I have chiseled, so much crud from my baking exploits over the years,. my pans look like they went through the war or something. I finally dumped them and one by one got replacements and Dawn.

Another exciting chapter in Mary's life, I never knew you lived in Taiwan. Now lets hear the rest of the story....

Ex in military. End of story.

Hey there is life out there besides the two of us Diva!

I have been painting a bench since last night.

I bought it a couple of month's ago and it looked like this.

The seller hadn't properly prepared the surface and most of the paint came off. So, I sanded the heck out of it, then Michael pressure washed the rest of it for me. This was it last night.

Two coats of chalk paint, a lot more sanding, distressing, and 4 coats of wax and it looks like this!

Great job!

Thanks! I can't move my right arm from arm the sanding but I like the way it came out. It is my first such project and I was a little nervous. I overpaid for the bench originally and it looked like crap without much paint so I didn't have much to lose. I have another couple of things to work on but I won't start until I mend from this one. Too much bending over.
