Stella's Social Club

There was some monkey business today but we finally got the signed contract. The buyer's agent pressured us last night to make the deal so it could be finalized before this morning. Then he didn't do that and screwed around until late this afternoon to send us a signed contract. We were told that if we didm't accept the deal last night it was off the table. Then an all day delay today. There is another buyer chomping at the bit, but now all we can get from her is a back-up offer. I hate the real estate game. Hate it.
They certainly can be a pain both selling and buying. Glad that you have the signed contract now!

Hold up. No signed contract. I was supposed to have it hours ago and still don't! My realtor has "seen" it but until I "see" it I am going to force her to change the status from "pending sale" back to "active." 'Tis the season for reindeer games, not realtor games.

Unless you have signed it, there is no pending sale. She's jumping the gun. I've done her job; I know. She can't take that house off the market until your signature in on that contract. And if you haven't seen it, then of course, you haven't signed it.

Thanks Cyn,

I wrote a counter offer and according to my realtor, the buyer has signed it but I haven't seen it. I want the house to stay active until I am in receipt of the signed, accepted counter offer. She told me the five day clock starts ticking tomorrow morning for me to get the disclosure forms completed. Well, she may hear ticking in the morning but I certainly won't until I have the signed counter offer. In fact, I am going to make sure she lets the people who want to write a back-up offer know that we are not under contract yet. We came down a lot from asking price for the buyer's jackass realtor last night under threat of the deal being done unless we consummated it before we all went to bed. Now here it is 24 hours later and I still don't have it. I think I could get out of this agreement even if it is signed by claiming fraud and duress. I just hate buying or selling real estate because of the stupid games. They think we are all dumb and don't realize what is going on. I have done this enough to know when I am being played. And when my realtor appears to be joining forces with the other side, that really ticks me off. Lawyers like to gang up on their clients in the same manner. Plenty of experience with that too!

If you get some ask them to save the shell and membrane for you so you can DNA sex them. Remember my vet said the trick is to get them past that first year and then it's a piece of cake. Fred is going to wise up one day and realize he is not a dog and he's gonna be mad!

My boys are almost two now and my girls will be one on New Year's Day.

Your broken heart is on the mend Kathy.

Been outside a lot today. Started building my brooder in the little yellow house. It is going to be so nice! We also put up Christmas lights around our deck railing. Michael put ur big tree upstairs in front os a window and I decorated it. I put a smaller tree in the parlor and decorated it too. I hung garland on the banisters and wreaths at two of the exterior doors. I still have three more to go but I am out of wreaths! I hope to finish the brooder tomorrow.

I received the Brinsea high intensity candler today. What a piece of cr*p! It is going back tomorrow. My flashlight works better than that thing and the risk of breaking the egg is a lot less. They advertise that you can hook it up to a web cam and watch the chiks move on your computer. I thought it would have a port or something to connect the camera. Oh no, you just lay the camera on top of the scope where your eyeball would be if you were looking. I di find out that two of my sizzles and three of my dark layers didn't survive the 113 degree temp sike during the time they were on the generator power. So I am down to 4 sizzles and 6 dark egg layers. I don't even know for sure if they are still alive but they seem to have a chick in them versus the others that did not. So we lock down tomorrow.

So, Mary, you see why I don't do that job any longer. I am not a game player. And ethics are a joke for the most part, especially when you deal with other cultures whose idea of what is honest and ethical is different from American culture. Had my fill of all that crap and the other realtors (and even clients) who were a pleasure to work with were few and far between. I was very good at my job, several repeat clients, however, that wasn't enough to offset the pains and bad memories I was collecting. And there were so many entities involved in any one transaction, I couldn't carry it alone and drag everyone along with me.

Hope it works out soon and you can be done with it all.

So, is it time to talk to the other buyer? I assume there was a 24 hr offer clause or something close to that, i imagine if you don't have it back its void. But I am a armchair relator not a professional so don't quote me on it.

Maybe there is some reason your agent does not like the backup offer, but good luck!

And those Emu eggs are tempting.... If only I could have emus!
