I'm sorry you aren't happy with it Mary.

I'm not a fan of laminate, but I think it looks nice. I like the pattern/distressed look and the wider boards. I don't think it will be "in your face" so much when you get your furniture moved back in and add rugs. I was surprised it is darker than you were originally looking at, but I think it will complement your fireplace plans well. Don't let the mean, nasty Russian upset you.

Good idea on the leaf blower, I'll have to use it sometime
Looks like I'll be home all day with a sick kid. I have to take him to the doctor, I have a suspicion that he has strep throat.

Don't forget the dust mask! Sorry about the sore throat, strep is the pits :sick hope you don't get it.

Yes, yellow jackets will attack you if you get too close to them.

There were two INSIDE MY OFFICE today argh!

I'm sorry you aren't happy with it Mary. :hugs

X2. Totally.

I am so sorry you don't like it, Mary.  :hugs

Kick the Russian guy for me.  :rant

Also x2. Hard.

The picture must make it look better then in person because like the others I think it looks nice. Maybe after a couple of days it will grow on you.

My son spent that much for lamininate, and hates it, the guy didn't even have it going all the same way. Near the walls, it was put in any direction to fill the space. He wants to have it done over when he can afford it. I should ask if it was a brutal guy & that had an accent.

I don't hate the laminate floor. I specifically chose laminate over hardwood because I didn't want the maintenance of hardwood. This house is supposed to be the one where I don't have to work my butt off all day and can relax and enjoy life. I wanted to just sweep and damp mop and be done with it. What I hate is the gross, cheap-*** moulding at the edge of the steps and all the way across the room. If I had been told that it would be that way, I would have gone for the hardwood in a heartbeat. I HATE molding. I was told the edge would just be a bull nosed piece of matching laminate. I was never told it would be an ugly four inch piece that had to overlap the laminate and stick up. Now it is a tripping hazard. Also the floor installation *** told me to instruct people to step over the molding because it comes off easily! Are you kidding me? For $5,000.00 I have to put a sign up instructing people to approach the steps and then step over the edge without touching it! What a bunch of crap. Anyway, I like the floor itself, it is just ruined by the ugly cheap molding. And no, I will have to look at it everyday I live here and it will NEVER grow on me. Ugly is ugly and staring at it doesn't make it pretty.

And yes he is a very aggressive, angry man with an accent and I wish I didn't have to let the SOB back in my house but I do! I do not plan to be here when he finishes. I almost punched him in the face when he was berating me and hollering at me. If he did it again, I would punch him in the face and go to jail. I want the SOB out of here! He is a scumbag, male chauvanist, woman-hating pig. Pig with a capital "P"!

Maybe you can do something different with the stairs?

It's hard to see but the three little pullets are under the little red car. They are quite the friendly little things. Not flighty at all. They did not make it back into the coop tonight. We found them huddled in a line right outside the door. maybe tomorrow.
