Kelly's rant for the day.........why is it when there is significantly less visibility on the roads, there are bozos that don't have their lights on? I've seen dark cars at night without lights, white cars in the snow without lights, etc. Hello people. And they probably wonder why they get hit. Geeeeeeze.


I'm beginning to think that CA is going to float away. We do need the rain, so it's all good, but I think my chickens and bees are getting tired of it. My bees took advantage of the brief break in the rain yesterday to get the heck out of the hive. They were hauling off the dead, foraging, and even some orientation flights from younger bees getting ready to start foraging.

I do need enough of a break in the rain to clean he coops out!

I always feel bad for the bees when we have extended poor weather! Cuz they "hold it in" until they can go on a cleansing flight!!

Mary's rant for the day. While I was up editing photos this morning, someone stole Michael's motorcycle not ten feet away outside the window from my desk! CHP on the way now.

Your street is not really well traveled, so it has to be someone that knows someone in that area.


I had the pleasure of dealing with the police this morning too. My mom's house alarm went off and the alarm company called me, saying they were sending the police to her house. I showed up and all doors were locked, but the policeman and I went inside and he checked it out. It must have been the wind blowing on the door, because everything was fine. There have been several break in's in her neighborhood though, so you can never be too careful.

Thieves are everywhere. CHP says thieves just drive randomly looking for something easy to grab. That was us! Just found out we don't have comprehensive so not a dime is covered. Sort of sick to my stomach.
