Quote:I've only have Wheatabix twice and once it was an ingredient in a muffin recipe that my "chicken sitter friend", Jan, made that was on the side of the box. The muffin was fabulous so I picked-up a box to try them. Not something I'd buy..........unless Jan wanted to make muffins for me!It's funny when you find those things you just can't get anywhere else. I used to date a Brit, and he was always bringing me a supply of malt loaf. Toasted with a ton of melted butter, yum! Nothing like it, maybe one of those slightly acquired tastes (but nothing like vegamite or something). I can find Golden Syrup here now, but still no source for malt loaf..............hmmmm, might need to do an internet search.![]()
On the other hand, I couldn't bring myself to like Wheatabix...............ick!
Speaking of which...............any of you southerners have a source for real sorghum? DH loves it and you can't find it out here.
DebOf course, Jan could make cardboard delicious. She was born and raised in Calif....wonder if she is related to Mary.....![]()

My Dad would buy sorghum down in TX, where my parents live, and take it to his sisters up in NE because they couldn't find it there. Yes, now things are different with the ability to order online but back in the day........we had to help each other get those things! I got a quart jar when I was visiting my son in KY and we went to a flea market.........that is something we do often there.....very interesting stuff is sold at flea markets. I was checking out the chickens last time.......the DH was giving me the stink eye and said "We are not riding 6 hours home with chickens in the car!"![]()

Ron, do you belong to Azure Standard? I'm on route Q-1.
Fabulous!Have you ever heard of Stephen Wiltshire? An autistic boy from New England..... THIS history is amazing. His art is all done by memory -
Stephen Wiltshire Artist, Autistic, Genius.
Stephen Wiltshire is an artist with autism who draws extremely lifelike, accurate and detailed cityscapes completely from memory, sometimes after having only a brief look. Last year he made an 18 foot long drawing of the entire New York skyline after he spent just 20 minutes in a helicopter overhead. He’s also made panorama’s of Rome, Tokyo, Dubai, London, and a bunch of other major cities around the world. Stephen was born mute, learning to speak around the age of 9, mostly encouraged by having his artist materials taken away so he would have to ask for them. Have a look at the links for more info on this incredible man.![]()
See, that's what I say! It just has to be healthy! Has too!Kathy oh no not more - if I had the Piggy Cake, they'd find me face down in it, the next morning. I love nutella. Much better for a chocolate fix than icing., and it's got hazelnut in it so MUST be healthy! Plus it needs no refrigeration, so you can have Nutella anywhere you go.

Yes, I am on route k-3. I love it and can get some great chicken feed from them. I ma disappointed that the Chicken Wheat has been out for several months. I am going to try hard red wheat instead.
It is cold here but wet. looks like it rained last night![]()
Saturday.... all ready?! Time just flies.
No, I have not sent in my emu stuff for DNA testing yet. I don't know why I am so slow at getting things done around here. I was late getting my organic grocery order in, too. I need an extra day each week, just to get caught up on all my procrastinations.
High today is only gonna be 36. Darn it. I want to get outside. 50 on Sunday though.![]()
