BTW, I see more like 4 or so boys.
wow they look great. can't wait to see them growI decided to take my nine little Icelandic babies out of the brooder yesterday. I set up my portable fence in the yard and put them in. As soon as I put the last one in they all squeezed through the bars and were running loose! I grabbed the net and started chasing. When I finally got one the only thing I could think do do in a hurry was throw it in the first run with the old girls. That run is baby proof. It took me almost an hour to net and trap them all and throw them in the run. By the time I was done they were running around like they owned the place! I closed the gate behind me and came into the house. I went out at dusk to collect them from the run and put them back in the brooders and they were all in the coop with the big girls! I blocked the pop door so they couldn't get back out before it closed for the night. This morning they are running and playing and drinking out of the hanging auto waterer. There's no going back to the brooder now! They are big chickens now. I have identified two boys and seven girls. That will probably change as the flat combs start to develop more. The straight comb guys already have wattles.
