Fish tacos are fairly in offensive. Unless you don't like fried or grilled fish.

I make sriracha poached eggs that are pretty good. I'll have to ninja your sauce recipe.

Cyn, you have to be picky where you have them. They are quite popular in CA. I've had fantastic mahi mahi fish tacos and cod fish tacos. I've also been to restaurants that their idea of fish tacos is a fish stick in a corn tortilla. Never went back to that place.

Fish tacos are pretty common here too, mostly made with whitefish or walleye (both fresh caught local fish). They are quite tasty, although where tacos are concerned I am mostly a beef eater.

We were watching Master Chef or Hell's Kitchen, can't remember which, and they had to make fish tacos for surfers. DH said, "Fish tacos?? Yuck". He had never heard of them. Not a southern dish. I'd try them, but never had one. Never saw one, actually. Never been anywhere they were offered that I recall.

We go to a bar in San Jose del Cabo Mexico (I'll be there the end of Oct, yay!), they have fish tacos on their happy hour menu. $5 gets you three huge tacos (grilled or fried) and the fish just slipped out of the ocean. They serve them with a chipotle sauce YUM. A couple of drinks, an order of tacos and I'm ready to walk back to our room (or sit on the beach).

It's a tough life, but someone has to do it!
