Mike, Six out of seven of Elska's chicks have some type of crest.....some have more....some just a few tufts.....the one pullet (?

) without a crest is in the pic I posted (in the very back across from the white cockerel). Here is an individual pic of her...

That was the one I wasn't sure about, thank you.

I'm uncertain if I'd try the lady finger cookies, interesting though. I guess I probably would.

Am I the only one dumb enough to think that was Kathy's real digits??? Guess so. When Mary mentioned 'hair dye' I was thinking naw Kathy is a blond now not a redhead. If I could kick myself in the butt I would.

Update on the house.

We were supposed to close escrow today but because of my lender's screw-ups we didn't. The seller,an investor, granted me a one week extension. If we don't close and record by Friday next week it's lost. I think we'll make it by the mere minutes! I am so stressed out! But I am packing and planning as if all is going to end well. My 19 year old (birthday next week) granddaughter is here helping me.

Mary, Hang in there.....we're all pulling for ya!!

On the "Lady Fingers", my friend made some of those last year for a Halloween party she was going to. She is a great cook/chef/baker and they were fabulous......she is also very artistic which helps when making dough look like fingers!

At least one of my New Hamphshires (from Kathy) has started to lay... They are such beautiful chickens..........
