That's good news Molly because they sure aren't shipping well. I need to get the oyster shell calcium back in their coops. Good luck with your hatch!
I think hatching egg hatch rate is poor this time of year.
well for me it could be the bator. I have it set one way looks like its working good but then goes up to 102 or down to 97 ... usually it ranges from 98 to 101 and my own eggs hatch well. so we shall see.

Here is a more accurate representation of the egg color that my lavender ameraucana laid. Not blue, but very pretty!

BTW those 4 eggs are all I have in my fridge.

And I have to put them into a carrot cake today.

The color of that egg looks so much better on my desktop monitor!

Beautiful!

Oh, I like it! Where did you get the hen? I wonder if they all lay that color?

The breeder is going for blue as true ameraucana's are supposed to lay blue eggs. Lavender is still very much a project variety. This girl hatched from a blue egg. I got her through eggs from faykokowv. Her egg should be good to cross with my barnevelders for a deeper olive.

On my monitor it looks quite greenish. Pretty much the same color as from my EE, at least it would be if she'd start laying again after her molt!
