Well, at least I know who to blame for the white stuff falling here!!

We are getting big, wet flakes but it is warm enough that they are melting when they hit the ground!!

Here is a pic I took this morning showing what we had on the ground then...not much of anything.

Elska's five hanging in the beauty berry bushes.....

Did your WCBs come from Dick Horstman?

Definitely an assortment.... my next group will be the bantam barred (from Horstman) to go with my bantam white rocks. They should be arriving on the 7th or 8th. Have to go look at my email again.

I originally got both kinds of polish from Dick Horstman.

I originally got my bantam BR from him as well. This is my main roo, he went BV at the last show.

He has very nice birds that he generously shares with the rest of us!

I tried to hatch some shipped WCB Polish eggs from him for the Easter Hatchalong last year. tbitt ordered them and had them sent to me but none hatched. The air cells were scrambled and those that did develop didn't hatch. She was very disappointed and so was I. Maybe we will have to split an order of chicks from him sometime in the future!
How long have you had them? Can they free range with their big crests?

I don't know if I'd free range the LF polish, they are kind of blind

The bantams don't seem to be quite as bad (although this is a youngster).

I got them all from him late winter/early spring last year.

Yeah, I was worried about that....I've heard people say their crests obstruct their sight. I just don't have the set-up for them to be cooped year around....oh well.....

My white crested blacks were the 1st to get picked off by hawks.
