Re the TSA: My grandchildren will probably be scarred for life seeing parts of me that should always be covered. Poor dears. I am sure the rest of the passengers have had their share of nightmares as well.

Mary, when people are suffering from pain, it blots out everything else. No need to apologize for whining, we know you count your blessings. Is it possible you may have a sinus infection,

that's when my teeth bother me so much I'd like to grind them to powder.

I broke my good glasses when I tripped on the mountain. I'm still in pain. I went to a place that told me on the phone they would accept my insurance and then when I got there, they said, 'Oh, we don't accept THAT EyeMed."

So I have an appointment at Sears on Wednesday and I pray it doesn't take them forever to get me a new set of specs. Thank the Lord I had my old ones as a spare and that I can still see decent out of them.

I HATE getting OLD!

I'm wondering if Kathy is taking an Internet vacay.... I haven't seen her on FB lately either.

Tomorrow I get back on the phone and resume calling about the heat not working, my eyeglass Rx being wrong, the dryer failing, my dental problems, etc, etc, etc. I have had a string of bad luck in recent weeks interspersed with my blessings. I took today off to wind down from cousin's week, which only lasted five days. I needed to immerse myself in Judge Judy re-runs and cooking shows. I am sufficiently recuperated to resume the fight to get heat in this house and find out why my face is wracked in pain non-stop since I had $8,000.00 worth of dental work done. Michael will take care of the dryer and, when I can get to it, I will get my glasses remade. I am sorry I have been a whiney pain in the neck recently but I have been stressed. Stress causes me to focus on the negative aspects of my life instead of the good things. You, my friends are good things. I don't know what I would do without you. Thank you for coming here daily and putting up with me. I promise to be less of a Debbie Downer going forward.

Now, for the love of god, where is Kathy?
sorry about that :(

Where the heck is Kathy?
Now, for the love of god, where is Kathy?
I hope she is not on because she is on some remote beach that does not have internet access....

......but maybe she is just working, separating her breeders and building emu fencing that is too tired

to look at her computer..........

Whatever the reason........we miss you Kathy!!

I set 11 eggs tonight. 7 wellies and 4 olive eggers. When my wellie lays tomorrow, I'll add her egg to the bator too.

Yes!  :yesss:  Hey, wait a minute, I thought I was getting the olive eggers?   :/

But you wanted Olive's eggs and she's not laying yet. I had the pay your way talk with all of them the other night

feel your pain Mary.... they are on redneck alert also! You should see them running when i come into the airport and I'm wear anything camo (hat, tee shirt....etc) and my cowboy boots. I go through the scanner (all clear) baggage x-rayed (all clear).....then they wait until i am about to board before they pull me out of line so they can do the swab test for explosive residue....they look so dejected when it comes out negative

just didn't want you to feel like they only pick on you.

Sorry about all the problems, Mary.

Kelly, good luck with the hatch! We have the Happy Chooks potato-less stew recipe in the crockpot now.

Let me know how you like it.

I'm very excited for these wellies. The pullet is from another breeder line with some great qualities I need to add to my flock. I think this hen with my rooster will make some great babies!

Not the greatest picture - taken from my phone since my Internet is down right now.

Yikes Kelly, no internet yet this morning? I would be AWOL if I had to post from my phone.

I can barely see the screen well enough to make a phone call. My computer monitor is 27 inches!

Dar I hope you get your glasses soon. I don't have vision insurance so it didn't matter for me. I know LenCrafters is a rip-off but I needed glasses the same day. My second pair is ready for pick up so I am going to send these back to have the lenses re-done with the progressive line starting a bit lower. When I drive, there is a blur right in the middle of my line of sight so I have to tilt my head. Don't like that. Too scary with all the deer in the road around here. I need a clear field of vision! I had my granddaughter in the car a few days ago and I was talking about the deer in the road. We rounded the last corner before our house and there were four standing in the middle of the road. Had I not been going very slow I would have hit them. One was a big buck with a huge rack of antlers!

Today is my 64th birthday! Michael asked what I wanted. He wanted to take me away for a couple of days but I said no because of the dental pain I am having. Couldn't enjoy myself and the drive would be miserable. Then he asked if I wanted roses. I said no, they will just die anyway in the freezing cold house. So here is what I asked for. Dinner at the local restaurant to share a honey mustard ham sandwich melt and fries with him. I also asked for help cleaning the coops today. He agreed! Gonna' be a good birthday!
