Kelly, That will be fine for the little Isbar chick. I have one left to hatch but so far it is just moving around in the shell without pipping.

Looks great Mary! As a resident of Louisiana, I'm giving you theCongrats Kelly! Reminds me to go to the basement and lock mine down. I finally got my Mardi Gras King Cake in the oven. I couldn't find a tiny plastic baby to put in the cake so I used a tiny plastic chicken and baby chick. I would probably be thrown out of Louisiana for that, but it is fine for northern CA! We don't have a party store close by for things like Mardi Gras babies!

My cake got a little lopsided. I noticed most of the ones I have seen in photos do to. It is like rolling cinnamon rolls. The ones in the middle are always bigger! As soon as the cake cools I will glaze it and add the sanding sugar.
I am devoting the rest of my day to getting my first assignment done for my Food Photography class. It is due in two days! It involves shooting in natural light and that is hard to come by here with the wrap-around porch. May have to move it upstairs for the afternoon light.
