Very cool plant.
Ron - good save! A couple of my chicks that I hatched 2 weeks ago were gettin pasty butt really badly. I haven't had an issue with pasty butt in years, and never this bad. Anyway, I ended up giving them a 150 watt heat lamp - in addition to the ecogow. No more pasty butt, not even from the chicks that hatched last Friday.
It is great! They are very friendly so far too.
I have my big red light on them. I gave them some Greek yogurt today and will be checking them closely for Pasty Butt. They hatched so strangely. The only ones I hatch that get pasty Butt are the ones covered in amber goo. These all hatched without that(Yay for Brinsea incubators).
They do run under the ecoglow so they do like it. It is going to be much colder tonight too!
Kathy is probably busy ordering chick shipping boxes for us!Wonder how many eggs are sitting in the Sportsman????... in Nevada.... MO.....![]()

YOU KNOW I'm hoping that is the case.
All of the BRs I got from her last time were roos, and I only got one NH... she was pretty but ended up with a tumor on her head.
I'd LOVE some more of those with a Dellie or two... or even some secret surprise that she's "cooking" up.
All she owns is quality birds. I'd LOVE to see the cross between Blue Boy and Kola... talk about make me drool.
I'm also hoping Boston can hatch out some Drekki III clones. The one i have that I hoped would look like Drekki, ended up a pulleet and kind of reminds me of Lukka.
Congratulations! Great save there! The Sheriff is a real inspiration!

Decided to sleep out from under the Ecoglow 20 last night. It was stiff and cold when I picked it up. I asked it if it was dead and did that little finger rub from the video. There was a kind of look to the eyes, so I did a couple more of those and put it into the incubator with the last one to hatch. 20 minutes later and it was fine!
Needless to say they have a heat lamp and the ecoglow on them now. I hatched 7 out of 9 and 4 are blue. Two are very splash and one is yellow. The yellow may be splash too. They are supposed to be early layers so eggs in 5 short months!
Sounds awesome.... you can surprise me... just let me know how much $$$ to send and when!!!!hahaha - I have plenty of chick boxes. I'll get ya all fixed up.
Now, to get the show on the road and start hatching! The bator is ready to go, and I have some eggs to put in from the past couple days. I have 2 darn black (chocolate gene) Orp boys that have been out chasing Delaware girls. I will have to wait to hatch Delawares for another week.![]()
I still have to switch out a couple pens tomorrow. I decided to put my F1s in a pen and make some more F2s (from project Delaware). Those chicks can be: Barred; Black; Delaware; Split gold/silver males; Buff Columbian; Barred Buff Columbian & Silver Columbian. I love the variety they produce. I especially like the buff barred pullets (no males).
