We have a Kenmore Quiet Guard Standard dishwasher, and it is very loud. But it works well and I am so grateful for that after our last one broke. I just run it when I plan to be in another room! I can totally understand wanting a quiet one though. Our last one was quiet but I don't remember which brand it was.

Thanks Mike and Kathy!

OK I just submitted my food photographs for the assignment for week 2. We were supposed to take pictures using every angle, close-up, lens, etc, using the light information we learned last week. I had a really difficult time with this one because my camera and lens are huge and my back was hurting from cleaning the garage. To get the big lens to focus with and extension ring on it I had to be right on top of my subject. The tripod wash't holding the weight of the camera and lens and I was having to lean over and manually focus. I took several hundred pictures and now can barely stand! After the class is over I will try to incorporate what I learned into using my small camera! It just won't work for this class though. Anyway, here are my submissions. I always seem to revert back to straightforward shots.

Critiques are tomorrow!

The pictures look great!

Kathy, thanks a million. Now maybe I'll get some respect. My parents were always rather vague about my ancestors. They used to mumble about assimilation diluting the bloodline. All I know is I got the head ,obviously, but not the MASSIVE brain.

Oh dear I missed the bus on that one.

We've had a Maytag for 15 years, we've had EXPENSIVE repairs on it twice.

Wish we'd have gotten something else.

Actually it was the only kind that would fit in the space we had.

If I remember correctly, when I was D/W shopping.................after I read the report in Consumer Reports, I avoided the Maytag.

Thanks Mike and Kathy!
