Catching up.

I spent some time with Mary and Tucker this morning while waiting for Farmer Fred to come pick up some of our spare roosters. Tucker is such a sweet boy and soooooooo happy with Mary, as I knew he would be. But to see his little tail wag as he follows her around is so adorable.

It was REALLY funny when Michael called from upstairs.............on the phone!

Why didn't you video record?

I wonder if Farmer Fred would like about 100 cockerels from me!

Short but nice visit with Kelly. Before Fred left I retrieved three chickens back out of his cages!

I had wanted to hold onto one of the Icelandic roos and one pullet. Then Michael's daughter called this morning to say her frizzle is a boy and asked if we had any girls for her. I also pulled a white Icelandic with feather legs back out for her. Michael wasn't in a mood last night for me to pick through the bid s for keepers. But in the clear light of day I could see the ones I wanted clearly!

I put them in the Icelandic/layer yard this morning but tonight they have migrated under the fence into the project pen. As long as they find a bed for the night I am good with that. This was their first day out of the brooder. Might go out and check on them right now before it gets dark.
