I'm sitting here in the mountains enjoying my coffee and the rain. Gotta enjoy my peaceful time now, as the drive home is not going to be fun. Lots of people coming home from the mountains and from burning man.

I made the most amazing Orange Chicken last night. Didn't do too well in the pic but I have leftovers for a do-over today. The red is overpowering.

He is finding his way this morning. The hardest part will be introducing him too the other 13 year old cranky kitty
the 11 year old labs wont be too excited after the initial sniff session but I am sure that will freak him out.
ohh and trying to figure a way to keep Baxter my lab out of his kitty food.
He walked in the bathroom where the kitty was yesterday. yes somehow pushed the door opened. went straight to the food and ate it all up lol
looked at the kitty and walked off ( probably while saying in pet wordage " This is how things work in these parts "

Mary, your icelandic pictures inspired me to try taking some of my 2-week-old mutts this morning, they all come from a SFH dad but some combination of australorp, cream legbar, basque, and/or SPPR hens -- and i recently got an adaptor that allows me to use my dad's old Pentax lenses on my DSLR -- here's a few of the results:

We have had mad crazy rain, thunder and lightning this morning. Tucker was scared and shaking. Then I remembered we bought him a Thundershirt. Magic!
