Had to share this mugshot with you....Look at this face! btw this model comes with KLF too... This is one of the pocket pets that Cyn created and I am probagating...the Coch'Anver. (KLF = Kentucky Leg Fungus ... a term loving dubbed to my birds in the D'Anver thread because I cross d'Anvers with d'Uccles and now bantam Cochins so they have hairy legs

) My hope and goal is a sweet pocket pet type bird with softer foot feathering than a d'Uccle and awesome beards and muffs.

They are gorgeous and precious...these are parents of the chick....also a black hen not in this picture

The parents came from a mille d'anver roo over a bantam lavender cochin hen. I am getting a bantam black Cochin roo to put over mille d' anver hens which are split for porcelain. I really like them.

You can see the black hen in this photo albeit not well....

Next year I should have eggs.

Does this disturb anyone besides me?

Yes! There are quite a few people on here that are rabidly anti-corn for their chickens. What were you thinking posting this? Are you trying to start controversy?

(Of course at the moment I have a Polish in the oven that did fine on corn, LOL) Sorry, that popped into my mind because I just got a big waft of garlic!

Still moving forward with our move- ran into some kinks with the financing but I think we've got it worked out now. So we are furiously working on projects around this place- our goal is to have it listed 1 week after the close (after we move all the chickens and beehives over to the new place). Remodeled the half bath two weeks ago (pretty much completely by myself- hubby worked late all week... wouldn't be so bad if he was hourly!)

Before (well kind of during....)

After (I have since added a teal hand towel and window drape that matches the accent color)

And now we have the house painted! OK, we got the house scraped and prepped, primed about half of it, and paid someone to finish it. We had a honey booth at the county fair this weekend and just ran out of time to do it ourselves. But I think the work we managed ourselves saved us about $600, so that counts for something!

Before (this google maps pic is circa 2011- we bought the house Oct 2008. Worked on the inside before the outside...). We have since widened the gate, replaced the front fence and installed a roll gate, put in a cement driveway and walkway, and thinned down all the flower plantings because they were full of small trees.

After:

Lots of project to do still-- tile the tub surround in the main bath, lots of touch up paint inside, replace those hideous wooden panels with real garage doors, finish up a million things. I think I'm going to die. :(
