Michael's daughter and her family signed a three year lease on acreage and a house and moved in a little over a month ago. It is totally rural. Everyone has livestock, chickens , roosters, etc. They have already been visited by the sheriff for a complaint of them having their tree cutting truck parked on the property! They are the first house on the road, don't have to drive it passed anyone else's house, and they park at the back of the property so it isn't visible from the road. The only thing that saved them is that the county has to allow you to drive your work vehicle home. Luckily they both work for the tree company so they can have the big truck and the pick-up with the logo on it. Now please understand we aren't talking about a gated enclave of "gentlemen farms" with steely mansions and Morgan horses. These are country folk, so country in fact that their neighbor, who lives three houses down the road, a longtime friend of theirs, grows or kills everything they eat right there on his property. That includes a skunk he caught a while back. They ate it and the perl is artwork on the living room wall.
But heaven forbid someone drives their work truck home! They are going to have a couple of roosters too but I'll bet they get complaints about that, even though everyone else has them. They are the new kids in town. Too bad they signed a three year lease with option to purchase at the end. They should have gotten that 100 acres with the single wide smack in the middle that I should have bought!
