Stella's Social Club

Mary is truly a gifted Craft Lady, this latest one is great! I really enjoy seeing her projects, my favorites though have been the Donkeys and their chapeau. Of course the emus ran close seconds, and every other bit of running. I never would have thought of making a wall hanging of the feed bag. Really neat.

Craft on Mary !

Rinda thats a really beautiful little daughter that you have, the line at the front door is going to be a long one! I hope she has a couple big brothers. Cute wagon. Love it. Anything with horses for me too!

Rinda, is that the new house or stuff you are doing to the old one before selling? I always have little enthusiasm for the latter!

Michael's daughter and her family signed a three year lease on acreage and a house and moved in a little over a month ago. It is totally rural. Everyone has livestock, chickens , roosters, etc. They have already been visited by the sheriff for a complaint of them having their tree cutting truck parked on the property! They are the first house on the road, don't have to drive it passed anyone else's house, and they park at the back of the property so it isn't visible from the road. The only thing that saved them is that the county has to allow you to drive your work vehicle home. Luckily they both work for the tree company so they can have the big truck and the pick-up with the logo on it. Now please understand we aren't talking about a gated enclave of "gentlemen farms" with steely mansions and Morgan horses. These are country folk, so country in fact that their neighbor, who lives three houses down the road, a longtime friend of theirs, grows or kills everything they eat right there on his property. That includes a skunk he caught a while back. They ate it and the perl is artwork on the living room wall.

But heaven forbid someone drives their work truck home! They are going to have a couple of roosters too but I'll bet they get complaints about that, even though everyone else has them. They are the new kids in town. Too bad they signed a three year lease with option to purchase at the end. They should have gotten that 100 acres with the single wide smack in the middle that I should have bought!

I just noticed the wheels are paper plates. Cracking up! I am on the phone with Kelly and she put me on hold. I have time to look closer!

X3! Mary, do you have that on Pinterest? I'd repin that, I love it.

The neighbors might have thought that they were running a business out of the property, which can be limited depending on the Ag zoning. Or the neighbors just want to drive the newbies off. That happened to us. Our neighbor did everything in her power to drive us off because we were newcomers to this region. They reported us for having a trailer park because I listed on a website for people needing a place to overnight with their horses.

Yes, she has always been a super pretty girl. But she is rough and tumble in her tutu and leotard, a girly tomboy for sure! And yes she has one older brother, he turns 8 next week. They have never gotten along great, just typical sibling stuff, but I think as they get older they will be close.

The old one of course.

Totally agree with you. We've never had a shower in this house, just a handheld that runs from the spout with a hook near the top of the shower area. We ran a Pex line up the wall and cut the wall open to put in a shower. Sad we won't get to enjoy it very long. At least the new house has a bath/shower AND a second bath with a shower stall! SO when I make my hubby do this same thing in the new bathroom we will have a backup shower, right?

(Good thing he never gets on here, I think he's DONE with the project list right now!)

We were supposed to close by Wednesday on the new place but there were complications and we will need to push it back. The house needs a completely new roof and we are pushing the sellers to do that first. So all other plans are pushed back, too, which is good in a way. A little more time to work on projects around here... At least I have the packing nearly done. My mother-in-law got laid off last week (Receiving/stocking at a local hospital) which is sad but she's been over nearly every day helping me pack. It's amazing how much we've gotten done! My brother got laid off two weeks ago, too (Sprint store employee), it's crazy all the local layoffs I'm hearing about .
