Stella's Social Club

I took it back. Unless he figures out how to drag the beanbag over to the desk, climb up into the chair, onto the desk and snag it off the shelf.

OMGosh ladies...Cyn and I both have been so very busy getting our website together, the Etsy store open and her, bless her heart, losing a day to the ER and a migraine that we have missed posting. Anywhooooo, got some more stuff listed in both web stores and am taking a small break before I finish my latest creation in the bath salts line up and maybe if sleep eludes me tonight I shall make a 5 lb loaf of soap to start curing away.

Mary I so enjoy your blog! Beautiful job with the feed bag, I absolutely love it! I was in need of a couple of large buttons for a crocheted scarf project so I just made em....what do you ladies think about em?

What did you make the buttons out of? They look great!

I did get a picture of the 2 mamas and 1 chick. However, they hatched another! I don't think it will make it though. One of them must have tried to kill it.

My sweet turkey, Tony....
Isn't she beautiful!

And this girl...... well.....
She is not just a pretty face smelling the flowers........

She is eating them!

Kathy is that a Narragansett?

I have one Bourbon Red and two Black Spanish. I ordered Narragansett and this is what I got. I had thought one of the Spanish was a Tom but comb and wattles now looking like a hen. The Bourbon is a hen, and the other Spanish. I may try to reorder some Narragansetts in the spring, but meantime need to find a Tom for breeding .

Come spring its going to be very interesting in the Icelandics here, Isi has his wheaten hens, and the two new cockerals from Mary in Ill will have six pullets apiece. I am hoping for many crests and rose combs in 2014 !

Now to get this winter done and over with !

Pretty buttons, perfect with the scarf! Are they wood? I had a chance to go to the fabric store this week after a doctor's appointment in Sacramento. I haven't been to the fabric store in two years! I couldn't get out of there! They had plastic bags of pretty assorted buttons in Fall themes and colors. They were so tempting but I have not really done any sewing for years until yesterday.

I made covers for my outdoor chair cushions, well the two by the front door anyway. Still have a couple more to make today. The outdoor fabric was 50% off!

Old cushions:

New covers: BTW, the big paisley is centered in the middle on both cushions on the other side. I just tied them on upside down! The wind was blowing too hard for me to stay out there and change it, I have lots more planned for the Fall decor on the deck.

Dressed up with pillows and a throw. Please ignore the sand all over the deck. Michael poured it in the vase for me to hold up the fall branches. I am going to try to find an outdoor rug to put under the chairs but it may be too late in the season. I think I saw a beige one at Home Depot the other day.
