Stella's Social Club

The ones I have now are not very fresh. I was thinking about putting them in my incubate just to see what happens. I could start collecting for you but I will be out of town week after next. I could send what I collect between now and the time I leave.

that would be fabulous, if it's not too much trouble -- i am expecting to get a dozen marans eggs in the mail from a breeder in Texas sometime next week, and would love to fill up the rest of the space in the incubator with isbars!

shall i PM you my address, or is email easier?

thank you!!!

I know and am in trouble. I just caught Lewey in the brooder. I have a outdoor brooder but its occupied lol

i just moved my two four-week-olds out of the indoor brooder, in part because the cats were getting too curious -- the brooder has been in the guest bathroom, where i can close the door & keep the cats out, but houseugests kept leaving it open by accident... didn't want to take any more chances!

hopefully they didn't get too chilly last night... i need to go check on them. they have most of their feathers, but their little heads are still quite downy -- at least the weather has been quite mild!

More trouble with my Isbars- neighborhood dog got into my yard yesterday and killed my rooster and one of my pullets that just started laying. Still have 2 hens and a pullet. GRRRR..... I do have a 3 month old rooster from ebay eggs growing out. Still not a good surprise on a Saturday morning.

oh no! when i had bobcat troubles earlier this summer, it seemed to have a preference for isbars -- took my only two pullets, plus one of the isbar/marans crosses. hence trying to hatch some more... i have a 20-week-old blue cockerel and a 4-week old splash chick of unknown gender, looks girlish somehow but tends to act a bit boyish... time will tell.
