Stella's Social Club

We are home.

We had five days of sunshine then the fog rolled in last night. It was socked in this morning when we left.

The iceplant in front of the RV park is gorgeous this time of year. You can't even see the ocean for the fog!

This was waiting and braying when we got home.

Kelly did a great job pet sitting for us! What a treat.

The pictures from the Ocean were great!

Mary, were you out at Bodega? you should have stopped by here on your way home! (although not sure that motorhome would have made it up our road)

and there are actually small porpoises that are re-colonizing SF Bay -- they apparently disappeared back in the 1930s or so, people think because of the pollution levels in the bay, but started coming back about five years ago -- we see them all the time when out sailing now. but your photo, Mary, looks like the regular-sized dolphins, they mostly stay out on the ocean & don't come into the bay often...

if it still works, here's a video of a HUGE pod of dolphins off the coast of santa barbara/the channel islands, we were delivering a sailboat down to long beach -- they swam with the boat for at least a half hour, hundreds of them:

That is awesome Laura! No we weren't up at Bodega we were down at Pillar point by Half Moon Bay. I got some dolphin video I'll post tomorrow. We see them all the time in Malibu but it was cool to see them up here.

Welcome home Mary ! Glad you had a good time. You needed the rest.

Dolphins are great ! My favorite marine creature. Its good to know that they are increasing there. It still po's me that the Japanese take them in their trawlers for meat. And incidetnally when they are whale hunting. It makes me not to want to buy Japanese. Nuff.

Welcome home and enjoy all of your critters.
