Yep, I know, but I wanted pullets and I wanted them now. Decided to take what I get. I don't want chicks in brooders after Thanksgiving. I should have them all out in the coops by then and I'll be able to relax a bit.

My Pet chicken has Barred Plymouth Rocks and Australorps in stock--pullets are 50 cents extra. The brown layer assortment sounds good too. Enjoy the new chicks!

I realized yesterday that I don't have any brown egg layers. I have dark brown but no brown. I am hoping to start an eating egg business in the Spring and need some reliable layers of large brown eggs. So I ordered seven pullets from My Pet Chicken and they shipped today! I just ordered the assortment of brown egg laying large fowl. Now I am really going to have to do some moving around and maybe even give up a breed or project. Oh well. I don't want to hatch or brood any more chicks so I wanted these fast so I could brood them now with the others. 

OMG, I am such an idiot. I have too many chickens now!

I have 20 and I want more chickens but this time from breeders. We are getting 9-12 eggs a day and we end up giving most away to the neighbors.

Rooster Booster Triple Wormer is one that uses an anti biotic as the active ingredient.

Next time I worm I will use Valbazen.

The Cream Legbars were on the top roost!






The BCMs were outside huddled in a corner of the run. Maybe tomorrow! The Icelandics are on the coop floor.

I like the looks of them. Very nice birds!!
