Stella's Social Club

Yesterday Michael smashed all my big pumpkins in the chicken runs. This morning I went out to feed them and all I could see in half a pumpkin was a black BCM butt in the air. By the time I got back around my route there were two butts sicking up! It was a funny sight. I thought about getting my camera but knew they'd be out before I got back. I just enjoyed the moment. Two pumpkins left to smash and that is the end of the autumn decor. They lasted from well before Halloween to now. That works for me.

Now I need to get busy decorating for Christmas. Not much time between holidays this year!

that does remind me though. I have shade cloth up on the silver ameraucana crele penedesenca run. I better take that down.
I just got another roll of netting to finish that run plus the run I am building for the black penedesenca

Ok, yeah Looks like it will hold up, but nor with the shade cloth. We don't get snow so I am leaving the shade cloth up. Maybe then I'll get snow!

I meant to say those chicken ornaments were cool!
Crate and barrel had a menu board rooster for 20. I was tempted but my decor is not very chickenish

After comments about the pretty, extra long oatmeal colored infinity scarf Kathy made, on my trip to Hobby Lobby, I picked up some lovely beige-with-gold-tones yarn, an acrylic that attempts to simulate mohair and is super plush, for one of those long ones. This yarn I used is a #5, bulky, whereas, the yarn in the discussed scarf here was a #6, a super bulky.

Somehow, it became quite the mega-scarf!I was joking with Ladyhawk that maybe we'll have a contest to see who can guess the length of the scarf in the photos. The prize? The scarf!

Unwound, just hanging full length:

Around once:

Around twice:

Wonder if I could get it around three times? I bet yes.
