Stella's Social Club

Finally got Chica settled in with a room mate. She and Louis are getting along well these days.

Your snow is almost gone.

Eva, what color are you painting it or are you staining it? How many chickens will it hold? How soon will you need another one built? :lau It starts so innocently, then becomes this. Just beautiful Then you have to post that you have 61 chickens and no eggs. :th

Sandhills were not bad Dels at one time. Some folks had issues with brown on them, but not everyone did. Isaac is a big guy himself. I've been very pleased with him and most of his hens. I think that somewhere among the other lines he was a product of was some of Sandhill's best Delawares.

Sunrise at my place this morning. I never tire of it. The circle on one photo is the glint of sun on cabin windows-a cabin we never knew was there until we logged our extra acreage. You cannot see it unless the sun shines on the windows first thing in the morning, even in winter, it's so hidden in the folds of the mountain. These photos show better if you click on them. They lose alot on this forum somehow. Oh, and an 8 pt buck was wandering the fence line this morning. Haven't seen one in quite a while. We see does all the time, but not bucks. This morning inspired my latest blog post on Blue Roo Creations.

here is Rocky 2 out in the snow enjoying the sunshine
I don't see any footprints, so he must have flown there.

I had looked high and low 3 times to make sure I had them all from the coop. I can not figure out how I left one. She is my youngest one a Faverolle. I called a neighbor there and bless her she went down and found her. She has put her with hers until Spring. Sigh, I love that young'un and miss her already. My neighbor is my good neighbor.
Glad your neighbor was willing to take her in!

Beautiful pics Cyn. I love the autumn colors in the background. One of my favorites from the snow last week, was the area up our gravel road in the back. The leaves were still falling from the oaks onto the snow. After all, it is still Fall!

Is the cabin on your land? I would love to see pics! Cabins and old barns fascinate me.
