Quote: She can write the book "Chicken Mind Control."
No kidding I just saw a book called "Turkey Mind Control" yesterday on amazon.
I love your sewing room! I like having a dedicated room, just so I don't have to pick up and put away my mess every day.Kathy, are you sewing curtains yet? I got so lonely sewing down in the basement, that I moved everything upstairs last night! Well, Michael moved the big stuff. We have three empty bedrooms on a separate wing so I thought, why not? We rarely have guests anymore, especially a crowd. I took the smallest of the rooms, the one without a closet. The daybed is in there for a quick nap, plus a television. There is a bathroom across the hall and a built in ironing board four steps down on the stair landing. Who's does that?????

Oh, come on Louis! Get a clue there, Buddy!Despite Chica's best efforts, Louis is clueless.
First "clean" batch was only 3 eggs and 2 blacks hatched. They are just over a week old. The point I lost them at last summer was 3-4 weeks so I'm not ready to call it good yet. I have another batch due next week of 10 all kicking good in their eggs. They will be the true test batch. I'm getting 2-3 eggs per day from 2 hens and 1 pullet.
Just finished updating my website for spring, here are some of the pictures I took this weekend!

My FIRST Barnevelder egg!!!
the double-laced Barnies.

I only have them up in coop#1 but I got two eggs in there today in two different next boxes!I love your sewing room! I like having a dedicated room, just so I don't have to pick up and put away my mess every day.
No, I have not yet started sewing them. I am getting excited though. I wanna deck out my coop, and just enjoy a small flock. Did your girls have any problem with them? Did they go inside and lay their eggs?
Love number 2!
