Everything she shoots I would eat. As long as it is Constructive criticism, it will help - and does not necessarily detract from the deliciousness of the picture.

The soft lighting in the egg pic was nice, as well as the flower in the corner

I went out to the layers coop (where I currently have TEN broody hens) to check for any possible hatching. Toni Turkey was making a clucking sound!



I looked a little closer........


And then......... I started laughing out loud!

There are 5 or 6 chicks hatched.


I took Toni Turkey out of the nest. Mama Delaware hen immediately covered the remaining eggs. I covered the front of the nest with wire so no one will fall out and so Toni Turkey will stay out. I hate to do this, simply because that IS Toni's nest. She has been on that nest for 3 weeks. I will see what I can do tomorrow.

Oh my goodness looking at the little butts on those cuties. Good thing I won some fluffy butted chicken eggs. I have had small chickens forever! What are you going to do about the turkey Kathy? She's a sweet thing.

I was going back looking for a post and ran across the pictures of your garden Kathy. How is that going? I am stuck with small raised beds because it is all I can handle and then there's the gophers. Did you start seed to transplant? I have to buy stared plants because I am never organized enough for seeds. I had the most beautiful garden in my first home in 1973. The yard was small but I sectioned off enough for a big garden. I put up a white picket fence and had perfect rows and not a weed in sight. I had very type of vegetable I could find. The neighbors hid when they saw me coming because it was way too much for our small family. Somebody had to eat it. I used to wake up as soon as the sun came up and head out to my garden and pull weeds and thin plants and harvest vegetables and sing. I sang Helen Reddy songs the entire time I worked in my garden.

OK the first person to say, "Who is Helen Reddy?" is going to get
