Stella's Social Club

I saw a snake like that the other day, only it was bright green and black. Small, like a red racer. I was the hero mom for picking it up and showing it to my boys. I should have taken a picture of it before I let it go.
We had Green Racers that lived in the Prune Orchard Where I grew up. They never caused a problem but one of my cousins has a snake phobia. He would not go into some places for fear that there might be a snake.

Love the updates and pics Kelly! Diane and Jack have been turned loose since the pasture dried out and we no longer have to worry about founder. the buckets are only still hanging because of the world's strongest three foot long zip ties! Diana has figured out how to get them off the fence with every other thing I've tried. She still tries but she can't get them off.

I am so hoping Lukka hatches out some Brabanters for me tomorrow! My other eggs shipped yesterday so they should show up tomorrow.

I was hoping to post to my blog from here but the internet is sketchy at best. My son keeps emailing me and it takes 45 minutes to get a response out. He may be coming for a visit for July 4th so it's worth the hassle to respond.

Thanks so much. Kelly for allowing us the freedom to be away for a few days. Tucker needed the rest.

No snake is handsome or pretty.
I so agree.

Now I can't stand spiders. I about had a heart attack a couple of years ago when I was doing laundry and looked down to see a female black widow climbing up my bare leg! I was able to stomp my foot and knock her off of me without getting bit. Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.

I agree, I like snakes very much (have owned several), have had lots of lizards, geckos, countless frogs, mantids and many other creepy crawlies.

But spiders.............no. I can go to a reptile show and look at them close up, I can watch them walking on someone else, for me, NO. I realize they are beneficial but snakes have no place IN my house. I can ignore them outside, I squish them inside.
