Stella's Social Club

Okay Mary, I know you have family visiting, but let's see some pictures of your holiday décor. I always enjoy your efforts. I usually have good intentions and boxes of decorations for the various holidays, just never have the energy to put them out (more I know I won't have the energy to put them away and the 4th would slide into the fall,

one continuous out of season holiday like the stores!)

I didn't actually do much. I made cushions and pillows for the outdoor chairs, hung some bunting, a banner and a couple of flags, made a centerpiece and table runner. Just little subtle stuff that I think compliments the house.

Very cute!

I had three small flags in my hand yesterday at Home Depot. I then stood in line for 20 MINUTES without so much as moving an inch. I abandoned my basket and left the store (I was on my way to my massage appointment and didn't want to be late...............I do have my priorities straight!)

From Russia with love! My first Pavlovskya chick! Two more hatched last night and one died without pipping. I bought 6 eggs so a 50% hatch rate is pretty good. I have a few more incubating from a second purchase. Hope to get a few from those too. This is a cute chick. Love the dark beard beard and orange crest!
Very cute, looks very Russian to me! LOL

79 degrees in Chicago low was 56 this am - actually 3 degrees hotter where I live. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous day, nice breeze, sunny, sorta cool except for me(hate heat) blue, blue sky and white puffy clouds - more importantly a short break from thunderstorms - supposed to be severe (yet again) Sunday night. But, I am just high on the gorgeous day and won't let that spoil anything.

No grill or anything just boiling up a couple hot dogs and baked beans - yum and then some ice cream if I didn't knock off 48 oz. yesterday - have to check.

Found 12 nice pro V 1 & pro V 1x golf balls - the regular golf ball thugs( don't like women) must have taken off today. Also one yellow tennis ball for my favorite next door neighbor dog Bella. Four
family members rotate throwing the ball for her throughout the day, trying to wear her out - doesn't happen.

I enjoyed myself walking 12+ miles to 2 shopping centers and got cow spotted stuff for "Chicken Appreciation Day " at(all) Chick Fil A July 11. Of course I can't sew and no machine but, Maybe I can Velcro it to look like a poncho. If you wear a bit of cow stuff you get a free entrée - your pick. If you are dressed head to toe in cow stuff (not patties) you get a combo meal.

Got up to 98 here today, and is going on 8 here..and still at 95. We are supposed to be 101 next week..one of those days. :/ My chickens aren't too happy. The only one that I haven't seen with her wings out and panting is my Rhodebar. Oh, and my Silkies!
