UGH me too! By FAR my least favorite chore. Basically only do it when packing things up to paint or to move... and sometimes for Christmas decorations!

Here's my super exciting news for today- I have a couch again! Yay! Hubby went to a farm estate auction this morning, and came home with this nice hide-a-bed couch by Ashley Furniture for.... $10!!!! Auctioneer started it off at $100 and kept dropping it because no one was interested. I'm so excited! We sold our old couch when we moved here a year ago- I HATED it- and I told him I was NOT going to settle for something I hated again, I would WAIT until I found something I liked. So we've had no couch for a year. Not anymore!

Congrats on the couch!

Where are the cats? Couches must have a cat on them.

It is a good thing that you like it. I suppose it would have cost more than $10.00 to take it to the landfill?

Hi

this looks like a wonderful place. I am really good at following the rules. I already know a few here.... I remember seeing some goofy silly emus half grown running about a pasture..... a few years back. @The Sheriff I belive they were yours. You were trying to figure out if you had a male and a female.

I Love love love recipes and from the quick reading I have been able to do I am sooo going to try some of the recipes.

Yep, you have a good memory. We ended up with two boys and two girls. They are currently separated into mating pairs. We'll see what happens with that. They girls fight if they are penned together. Welcome back!

Walk backwards and carry a big stick....

After my neighbor gets the bill I am sending him, I may have to learn to do this!

Is that from the fence? Lovely fence by the way.... I have eighteen acres and dream of doing fencing like yours....

I need to have the property properly surveyed with fencing in mind though first. I have found the existing markers but there are people around me who may have another opinion. I am hoping to get one neighbor to split the cost of the leg of fence between us. It would be to their advantage to have that leg in place....

Love your Donks... I want a pair to keep my horse company.

I am making my neighbor pay for the cost of foliage he took the liberty of cutting on my property. Luckily this fence was here when we bought the place. It was one of the selling points. The guy who had it put in ordered it specifically for this property which slants. Each piece was engineered so that the fence slopes with the ground intend of one section being lower than the next all the way down. It looks much better this way I think. I believe he said the cost of fencing the entire five acres plus some cross fencing was $17,000.00 plus. That is a goos price because I paid $5,000.00 just to go across the front of our last place.

Quote: What nerve him coming on your property to cut foliage.

I had a friend who bought 40 acres and was letting one of her pastures grow in order to cut it for hay. One day she came out and found her neighbor out with his lawn mower just finishing up mowing that pasture. He was doing her a favor.... but she lost a years worth of fodder for her horses.... I have no idea how that worked out though.
