Stella's Social Club

psst, Mary, You have a misspelling in your Corned Beef Hash post, "... I added a splash of rice vine vinegar..." In the ingredient list it is correct. I thought yo might like to know.

oops, thanks. Autospellc is horrible in Wordpres. Then it only catches it at the end if it isn't a real word! Michael used to proofread for me but he doesn't like to anymore so I am on my own.heck

Now you tell Kelly . My mom made a cake once and had lined the pan with wax paper. Only thing was when she tried to get the wax paper off, it wouldn't budge. She just served it to us without explanation. I can tell you baked wax paper is a little crunchy like nuts. Nobody said anything, and no one died, so all was good.

Haha one year for April Fool's day my mom slid a piece of waxed paper into each of our cheese sandwiches in our bagged lunches for school-
yeah my brother didn't even notice. He ate the whole thing. He was probably about 13 or 14 at the time. We've never let him forget it!!!

That reminds me - when I was dating a century ago . The restaurant served the sandwiches with a toothpick through them holding it together. I took the pick out and ate my sandwich. Goof nuts my date(and not a child) was chewing and making faces and coughing. He didn't remove the toothpick. and yes I did laugh at him

. He was furious and was figuring out if he could sue them.

Men must be like that. Another date was an avid golfer, so I got him golf related stuff for his birthday. I couldn't resist golf ball candy. Same, coughing and chewing spectacle-
he didn't remove the golf ball foil before eating them. He was furious with ME. He said I tricked him. Duh? Even kids know to unwrap a foil candy.

Okay blame me, I usually say I like men Tall and Dumb and boy, I really find them. Okay some weren't tall but they were dumb.

This just goes to show - I always wonder why I have to beg my 2 guys to tell me if what I cooked is good or not - they probably could be eating waxed paper for all they notice!

Has anyone made a chocolate banana cake? I would prefer response from folks that aren't chocoholics - because not everyone likes chocolate in everything like I do.

If so, and others thought it was quite edible, what did you use for the chocolate? Thank you in advance, your humble servant dd
