Yeah, I'll give you all a good laugh for sure for my stupidity. My eye is practically swollen shut. I can force it open, but mostly it's closed. Swelling is all the way up the side of my nose too. Benedryl didn't do squat other than put me to sleep.

And I have a doctor's appointment today. Ought to make for some interesting conversation.

Rinda - I don't like those plastic frames either. The bees seem to be laying in them though. When they go empty, I think I'll replace them. My first hive has wood frames with wax foundation. My new one I tried the wood frame with wax coated plastic, supposed to make it easier to see the eggs. I used to be able to spot the eggs pretty easily, not sure if my eyes are getting worse, or it's harder to see them in older comb.

Ouch! I hope that it heals quickly.

Yes, I iced it last night for an hour or so. Face and hands swell really easily. It makes driving a challenge!

everyone better hang on then!

I never looked under my arm to see if it was swollen, far enough up under there that I couldn't see it, but I am sure that if it swelled like that I would have noticed!

I have not been stung in a lot of years. The last time was in 1976--I stuck my hand into a yellow jacket nest and was stung multiple times. My hand was very swollen for the next week.
