Exciting!

Look at my newest rooster. :) No crowing, and no feed costs!

Woohoo! Actually I've had it for a few months, just took some time to get around to mounting it! It's supposed to be a "porch sitter" type but it's top heavy and between the kids and the wind always wound up on its side. Now it is zip tied down so no more tipping over!

Rinda, love your de-crowed rooster.   One here would be rooster napped in a day - can't put anything nice out unless it's sunk in concrete.

A sad connatation of the times we live in. I could not put it here either. Someone would destroy it with a baseball bat. Or twist the flags ff of the boxes. It is a constant battle. Illegal but heck some of the people think its funny.:(

Packing all day today! We have to be out in two weeks so gotta' get going.

We pretty much decided which of the two houses we are buying. The short sale with the nice coop won't be it. Found out yesterday that the well is shot and must be drilled deeper ($19,000) or a new well drilled ($34,000) and neither comes with any guarantee of finding water. The bank is still considering whether or not they will do the work. The agent suggested we pay the $34,000 cash and assume the risk ourselves. If we refuse, it could take several more months for the bank to accept or decline our offer. The offer expires next week anyway because the 90 days are up. I don't want to take the chance of buying something I can't sell later.

So I think it's gonna be the one with the big kitchen. I like some things more and some things less, but in the price range we are looking, the name of the game is compromise.

I am tired and off to shower and rest!

So things are still moving along on your sale? That's GOOD news!

that everything can finally wrap up for you!!!

Tank looks to have a new home set up. Yay! We are over the halfway point on reserved pups in this litter now, and they are just barely 3 weeks old! And a friend at church today offered my hubby some temporary work at manual labor, it's good to have something. Going to scale WAY back on the chicks and growers (I am ASHAMED to admit how many I have out there...) to cut the feed bill, and selling off a few adults that I already know don't fit the cut for the breeding pen for next year. All of that will be a huge relief in time and caring for birds in the heat, too.
