Stella's Social Club

Mary, I love those railings.

Here is a girlfriend for Tucker. Her name is Sophie and she's at the local Humane Society. Maybe you should let him drool over her photo for awhile tonight.

Her write-up:
So, this is our new girl, Sophie. Sophie is a Cairn Terrier, 4-5 years old. She weighs in at 20 lbs now. (5 lbs of that may be dirt).
Sophie is Heartworm Negative and spayed. She is getting a bath today and updated on all her shots. I’ll post some glamour shots when she gets cleaned up. The perfect fuzzy lap dog.

Tucker would love her, even the five pounds of dirt! What a doll baby. I hope she gets a good home soon.

Apologies for another sunset photo. I just can't help myself. We have been too long without a sunset view. Just skip over them.

The sky is totally clear tonight over the Sacramento Valley and the lights are just gorgeous.

They are lovely, each one.

Thank you Muttsfan. At the old farmhouse all we saw of the sunset was a little color in the clouds if there were any. We were on the opposite side of a big hill from the setting sun. I am enjoying the sunsets so much here. It is a part of our daily routine. I can't tell you how many times one of us has said, "This is the best sunset yet!" They can't all be the best!

sure they can, each succeeding one outdoes the one before

x2!!

OK a few days late but here's Lydia's cake! She requested a rainbow horse. I went to make the icing and realized I only had enough powdered sugar for one batch (I usually double it). So I was REALLY scraping to have enough for each color. Ran out of blue going around the border and had to finish it in purple around the top- oops! I think my techniques with the buttercream are getting better, this one is a tad sloppy looking because the icing sat for a few days and I had trouble with icing clogging in the tips- argh!

Her birthday was Friday, and my husband's was Tuesday. We will have cake and ice cream for both of them tomorrow, it's been a crazy few weeks. I'm so glad I only have ONE more birthday to bake for this year! Hannah's is the 21st.

Rinda, it's just beautiful - all that talk of cake & ice cream is making me crazy. I AM so hungry. My problem is as soon as I make or buy any, I sit down and finish the whole thing. Then it's cold turkey until next grocery trip. I never learn.
