Stella's Social Club

I managed to cook Thanksgiving dinner - the whole nine yards - and bake pumpkin and apple pies. I thought we might be taking the whole thing to my daughter and SIL's but she decided it might not be a good idea. He's having a good day today but she didn't want him to be worn out with company. So husband, son and I had to try and make a dent in a 16 pound turkey and all the trimmings. Boy, am I worn out! It's the most I've been on my feet in weeks. Clean up is worse than the cooking. Sign me up for Stella's Place!

Gee when you can't finish the 16 lb. bird send it here, I LOVE turkey, I used to eat the leftovers for days until it was just a skeleton. When I say I love turkey, I mean eat it plain, no veggies, no anything else - just kept visiting the refrigerator and grabbing off as much as I could. Everybody else used to give up after the first day of leftovers - NOT me!! Of course then I was young and skinny, and my mom made the best turkeys. Also love cold chicken, cold roast beef, and I guess that lead to cold ice cream....

I   would check in at Stella's place but, couldn't come up with the  rent.  Plus if we all keep falling down / having accidents - who will pick us up???

Kelly will. She's still young and very physically fit. Plus, we will all have really cute helmets and pink life alert necklaces. I am sorry to announce that there will be a strictly enforced ban on flip flops.

Diva, we can help you out on the rent if you share your ice cream. Think about it.:D

The horse farm where I've worked as office manager for the last 22 years has recently been put up for sale. It's listed with Christie's, and locally, and they seem to be marketing it as an estate rather than a farm. The main house is really spectacular and everything in the house is included. I thought you guys might be interested in seeing it.

What a bargain! Maybe Mary could buy it and we could all rent a room from her! LOL

Y'all are kinda' mean for the day after Thanksgiving. :/

Sorry, but I spent my last 23 million on this place. It's California, you know.

I have spent the last hour out in the freezing cold emptying my garbage can, item by item looking for the container from the celery/onion mix I used for my dressing. Huge recalls going on due to E Choli. I finally found it at the bottom of the can. So far I think I we are ok. It is not on the list but they said more will be added. I am most concerned about my Mom getting sick becuase she is so frail. If I were in better physical shape I would put raised beds all over this acre and grow every ounce of produce we eat. But I can't, so I think I will sign up for another organic CSA for local produce.
