That makes sense.
I am sure that we will here a damage number soon for both the Almond and peach corp. Plums and prunes will be messed up by late rain too.

Often it will be in the millions. Almonds are over a billion dollar crop in California depending on the price per ton each year. It is so lucrative that thieves will steal almonds from warehouses.

My pluots and plums were in full bloom, but the peaches, apricot and nectarines just started.

Talk of blossoms is so nice! This is what we are dealing with here in NY this week! Actually the blizzard was last week but even though the temp has since gotten up to the 50's, there is a lot to melt. The snowbank on the right was up to my hip! February was a lot warmer than March has been so we had crocus and daffodils beginning to bloom - poor things have not been seen for awhile. That's a gate to one of my pens - digging out gates and doors - not fun!
