They have outlawed bees? How lame. Even NY has bees.

Sorry! I fixed the post. Woodland is one of the few official City of Bees!

There is a Honey festival here along with a tomato festival. I guess we are a city of Bees and trees now

Wow, lots going on. I'm sorry about the bees and chickens. I'm Really sorry about your mom, so good to hear she is doing well ( my sisters and I did a year-and-a-half with our mom, it is a tremendous amount of work and mental strain but so worth . Unfortunately our outcome was not as good).
Is there any way to deter a bear short of relocation?

I'm going to be 58 soon, and I'm nowhere close to being elderly!

I remember you talking about your mom's treatment. Luckily, my mom's cancer was caught early. Still no guarantees it won't come back of course, but nothing more we can do.

As for the bear..............other than shooting it, nope. I've tried ammonia on the trash cans, doesn't do a darn thing. I'll let you know if the darn thing breaks into my house.

The weather has been great! We are having a wonderful winter. It snowed last week too.
