Another baby broody!

How sweet is that!

My broody is content this morning on her chicks. She's not letting me near them though. She's in a dog crate because the turkeys are in the broody area.

I never realized that turkeys hiss. The Icelandics came over to the wire to check them out and one of the turkeys hissed at her. This happened a few times, so I know I wasn't hearing things.

I am going to let them mingle this afternoon and see if she is still as interested in them!

Mary Stella must really love you. She fled her first(?) owner and came to you. Despite her legendary escapes since then, she always comes back to you. It's profoundly heartwarming. Don'cha think?

Well, I am sure she loves me although I do not think she is willing to admit it. Probably the most she will cop to is tolerating me. She comes running when she sees me but her excuse is probably that she has to pick up all the bread crumbs I drop. She is way cooler than begging for treats.

I made Big Macs and fries last night for dinner. My grandson is a foodie and he really loved this famous knockoff burger. He's off riding ATV's with my ex-husband today. My 15 year old granddaughter will be here tonight and stay a couple of days. Thank goodness we have the granny flat over the garage! I am moving them over there.

[COLOR=4B0082]I officially GIVE UP on Isbars.[/COLOR]  These were my [COLOR=FF0000]3rd attempt[/COLOR] at getting a pullet. (bad picture quality due to my phone - hubby stole my camera!)  Why oh why do I only get cockerels?   They just aren't meant to be for me.

Are you seriously giving up on the Isbars?!?
What happens to all the Roo's you've hatched? I imagen most people eat them. Is there where yours went?
