Not a Farm - we pretty much get the same weather as you. Today was probably the most gorgeous day of the year - cool, dry, nice wind, sunny - who could ask for anything more? So of course I wasted it by taking a (very)lengthy nap.

That's not a bad way to spend any day!

It was beautiful......I got to work this morning and this afternoon was on here a bit and then doing chores that needed to be done outside.

She is a great mom but she is actually good about letting me near the chicks....

....now the other chickens are another story!

She will take-on all-comers!! She's molting and her tail feathers are gone...pretty funny looking at this stage but she'll be back to her beautiful self before long!!
Here's what the other mom, Elska, was doing while her chicks pictured above were sunbathing on the rock.....notice this chick is also in the sun......smarties!!

I heard peeping yesterday from one of my broody bungalos, so I expect to see EE chicks soon. Not that I need chicks, I just couldn't throw the eggs away when I found them so close to hatch. Ah well, more fox food for next year I guess.
