HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Is there popcorn stuffed in that thing?

Kathy you need to enroll in some kind of adult education program. (No computer classes either) Or perhaps adopt a section of the freeway and keep the litter picked up. Really dear you are warped. But I like the tats!

Heck, I could teach such classes! Tattooes- - - NO WAY! ...... but, never have idle hands. Keep busy... and "Don't Worry, Be Happy!"

I'm stuffed and miserable. Awww, I guess that's what Thanksgiving dinner is suppose to do to ya, eh?

Now I am gettin' cold. Big temp drop from a high of 70 today. Only gonna make 50 tomorrow. I think I will go start a pot of coffee. That will warm me up. Besides, I wanna stay up late tonight. I have to work tomorrow night, and I can sleep during the day tomorrow.

Brittney went to the 8PM Walmart mad house. Hmm, I wonder how she is faring. She had a list of items to get - a few things for herself, a big one for Tyler, and a couple for me. She has never done the "madness shop," by herself before. She opted to go, saying, "Well, people will be nice to me when they see I am big and pregnant.

My dd works at wal mart she sent me this abt hour ago ---Whoppee

Yep! I so remember being there - and loving it. Not so anymore.

Well, Brittney is home..... she feels defeated.

She got 3 things on the list. That's it! She said she could not get around to even look and gave up.

Oh how I hate shopping between now and January 10th. Even the grocery stores are mobbed.

I am full too Kathy. We just finished our meal. We had a catastrophe today and the kitchen flooded. All I will say is Michael installed a new sink for me yesterday. Today I used the dishwasher for the first time since the install. The water drining from the dishwasher came up and out the over flow vent instead of down the drain. What a freakin' mess! Water in all the drawers, under the cabinets, all over the countertops, under the island and an inch deep in the kitchen floor. I had to take each drawer out and pour the water out. Water is still coming from under the cabinets. I had to unload the dishwasher and wash and dry everything by hand. Everything in the drawers was soaked in dirty grey water. They all had to be washed and dried by hand. I probably have at least two laundry loads of towels that we used to sop up the water. Now, after cooking Thanksgiving dinner, both sinks are full again and have to be washed by hand because I can't use the dishwasher. Michael is upstairs playing video games.

Lucky me.

Mary,

Did he tie the dishwasher into a garbage disposal? Did he remember to knock out the metal plug? There's a plug inside the hookup, you need to remove it before you clamp the hose from the D/W. Just a possibility...............

I was staying at a condo once and the handyman had just installed a new D/W and forgot that step. We had the same problem. Of course, I didn't have to do any of the cleanup

There was a big black flexible pipe under the sink. With the new sink, the garbage disposal is on the opposite side from the one we removed. He didn't want to change that pipe so he just used the same one. To stretch it to the other side he had to twist it so it was completely kinked. When I saw it I told him it didn't look right to me. I have been around construction all my adult life and never have I seen a sink pipe bent and squished flat like that. He insisted it was just an air vent for the disposal. I disagreed but he wouldn't listen. I knew better than to use the disposal or the dishwasher but I did anyway. I was going to wait until he wasn't around for a day and then sneak my contractor in to fix it. That is how I get things fixed or done correctly. I should have listened to my gut and not used the sink but instead I went outside and worked while the dishwasher was running! He was upstairs playing video games. I heard the water hitting the floor the moment I got back in the house. I just hope we got it off the wood floors before any damage could occur. I knew when I bought this place that he would destroy the wood floors that had been in this house for 120 years. Oh well it is what it is and it will never change. I just finished washing a ton of dinner dishes now I have to go dry them and put them away. By myself. of course.

I guess the answer is yes Deb, he routed the crooked pipe to the air vent and the dishwasher drained through there after blowing the cap off.
