Step-to-Step Guide on How To Upload Pictures onto the BYC Forum:

Nope still didn't work.

how are you trying to post pictures? copy and paste of the image itself does not work. you have to copy and paste the image url from the embed button for your album pics, copy and paste the url for pictures on the web, or if you click on the picture Icon at the top of the reply box, select the picture from hard drive directly. this is with your editor preference set to BBCode. if its set to Rich text format, the copy and paste of the image itself works sometimes, and sometimes not. so what are editor preferences set too? and how are you trying to post the picture?

Okay... One way I found to do it, which is probably not the easiest way...

(1) Go to your album.
(2) Left-click on a picture you want to add to your post.
(3) Click on "Embed" (small button to the lower right corner of the photo, with two blue chainlinks) A new box should appear that says "Copy URL to Embed" at the top.
(4) Copy the entire code underneath "Paste HTML to embed in website."
The code you need will look something like <a href="https://www.backyardchickens.com/gallery/image/view/id/4530799/album/6132132"><img src="https://www.backyardchickens.com/image/id/5561408/width/400/flags/LL"></a> (I doubleclick to select everything -- it turns blue -- and then use CTRL+C to copy).
(5) Create a new post. Type whatever you want to say.
(6) Click on the Source button (one of the menu options above where you type a new post...all the way to the left). It will turn your post into HTML.
(7) Put your cursor where you want your picture to be, and press CTRL+V.
The HTML code will not be visible when you submit your post (so don't worry about all the extra As / and < >

The HTML code is like on the "old BYC" where we had to use BBCode to do things (different code format, but at the same time, a similar idea as far as the way it works).

I will see if I can find a simpler method, but this worked for me.

Edit: This method works especially marvelously with "Tabbed" browsing (where you can have more than one tab open at a time in your web browser). Have one tab open to your album and one tab open to your post. I was trying this method in Firefox with two tabs open. You can also do this with multiple browser windows open; tabs just make it easier to flip between them.

The Chicken Lady: I followed those instructions and got this.
