I told my mother I was picking up eggs to hatch on Sunday, she said "Oh, I'm surprised those people would even do business on Sundays"

WHAT!!!??? Had I of said we are going to pick up a washer and dryer she would have said Okay......

Well, we do like our "day of rest".

Granted, the chickens do seem to still want food, water and treats, so there is not much resting going on around my place.

I just thought it was odd to assume that everyone had chickens also has Sunday as a day of rest I guess.

i wont let my kids go to their friends house on sundays because i figure that sunday is their family day.

Agreed, but I guess it would be like not letting them go to a persons house that has chickens because its family time but then thinking its okay to let them go to a non chicken house because they certainly wouldnt have a family day, AND maybe my Mom just bugs me!
