I have one turkey babe...

Not sure on sex.. but its a Royal Palm.
Has all its feathers expect on his head, where its still yellow fuzz.

Are turkeys that age usualy really lethargic?
What I mean by that is he/she sleeps a helluva lot.
Eats and drinks ok.. gets polyvisol in its water like 3 times a week.It is growing ,I know that much.
Preens itself and does look around ect.He/she is just so darn slow. Doesnt walk alot, doesnt pick at things alot. And sleeps alot.. Did I mention that he sleeps alot? lol

During the day he was outside with the guineas in their run. He did ok until it got a bit cool outside and he got cold .. So I put him back under his lamp in the house.
He isnt sick as far as I can tell. He is pooping good..eats etc.
I am just wondering if thats normal for turkeys to be rather.. slow..
I know they not the brightest in the birdworld.
He is content to sit on my lap or on my desk just snoozing also.Doesnt peep to much or cowers anymore when i pick him up.
He is in 28% medicated starter.
Compared to my guineas and other chicks he is so slow.
I understand he is young and growing.. maybe he is missing something in his diet?

If you could give me some insight on the turkey behavior that would be great.

Thanks
Petra
Here he is .. snoozing by the printer.. he looks rather bad right now.. new feathers are coming in. He usualy isnt fluffed up like this..does it when he sleeps.. i guess to absorb heat?

Most poults are active, curious sometimes they can be a pain because they are into everything.

When it's inside is it by itself? The reason I ask is they are flock animals and do better in groups. In the growing stages they do sleep alot - like growing children. They play and explore 'till the drop and sleep. It should be getting everything it needs from the feed.

It's not good for them to get chilled at a young age, that can cause problems. Can't really tell from the pic but it's probably still just fuzz on the chest and underside. If it lays on the ground it can loose heat and chill quickly.

Outside its with the guineas.. 11 of them.
Inside alone. We tried the add-a- friend to him inside.. the guinea was freaking out and screaming relentless until he went back outside with his mates.

We are looking for another baby turkey for him right now
