Sticky chicks

We now have 10 out of 15 eggs hatched. Two of the last 3 to hatch have not dried all fluffy like the rest. Thier fuzz is all pasted down and stuck tightly to their bodies. Should we wash them off? What would cause this? The humidity has remainded pretty stable throughout.

Perhaps some of the yolk leaked out?

Did you intervene? That's usually the cause of pasted down.

I have washed them off in lukewarm water before...test on your arm!! Then used the hair dryer(keep it away from them so they don't get burned)till they dry. I keep my hand mostly over them so I know how hot it is getting and try to fluff their feathers. They usually fall asleep in my hand. They must be very warm and not get chilled afterwards.
