Stiff Chicken?

Egg binding can kill a hen in 2 days. I would go ahead and feel inside the vent. Could this possibly be a prolapse? Do you have a picture? Here is a picture of a prolapsed vent:

my hen has been egg bound for three days now!!!but it doesn't look like a prolapse in fact it feels to me like the egg is starting to move down!I've been treating her but things got worse for her this morning the pecking order in my flock has changed and this morning I found that they have been bullying her,her head was attacked bloody so I have decided to keep her separate from the others to give her time to heal!the poor thing...I'm not sure if she will relax enough to get the egg down after this experience.but I'll keep giving her a bath to help the egg down.sorry I don't have a picture yet,she looks terrible!

She's hanging in there! The egg isn't out yet though.I'm going to give her another bath in the morning to loosen her up.I think it's helping a little!
Is the egg visible at her vent? Glad to hear she's holding her own....yes, more baths!! Let me know tomorrow how it's going!

Haha!Well she is still the same!I'm worried for her of course.but I guess this kind of thing really depends on the hen.I wonder If I'm mistaking her hard abdomen for something else?because here on BYC I heard that egg binding takes at least 3 days before the hen dies right?I'm starting to think maybe I'm mistaking egg binding with a hen that's not laying?
