Since she is 3-4 years old she may have internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis. It's common in hens that age, although I hope that isn't what's going on, but they can walk like an egg bound hen. Here are some links to read:

Thank you so much for the link!Such subtle differences in symptoms!her abdomen does feel like it gives a little which is what made me think it was something different!She is lethargic,dull,doesn't eat or drink a lot,her skin is white,feels cold to the touch(except her abdomen which is hot),doesn't move hardly any(except when she sees me or heading toward her food),when she stands she is slightly upright,with her tail tucked down,her feathers aren't ruffled,but they are quite dull,messy.she also has diarrhea!also her breathing is normal.

Okay!Time for an update on her condition,she is not egg bound or have egg peritonitis as we previously thought!I'm re-doing a summary of her symptoms so people on here can help me treat her!Her symptoms are as follows:

1.upright body.
2.her tail is down.
3.prone to lying down or "sitting".
4.very skinny.
5.poor appetite.
6.watery small poops(mostly diarrhea).
7.closing her eyes periodically.
8.shoulders are hunched
9.walks slowly in a upright position,with her shoulder's hunched,she never runs usually.
10.leans on objects,like walls,plants,etc
11.her feathers are dreadful,dirty,scraggly,she obviously is not caring for her feather's!
12.her eyes are bright and healthy.
13.her attitude is also healthy she seems perky and normal acting,she is quiet but that is normal for this hen.
14.wounds not healing.
15.extremely clumsy tripping if anything is in her way.

Extra:She has a bloody head wound,and a bare neck that she got from the other chickens,and no matter how much neosporin I add to the wound I find it as bloody as when I started to treat it.

Please help me heal this hen,this is all the information I can offer about her!

While I can't help you with a diagnosis on the problem with your hen, you did say that the wound on her head stays bloody from the other chickens....MOVE HER TO AN ISOLATED AREA as soon as you can! Once chickens see/taste blood it's downhill from there. Put her in a dog crate with her own water/feed, etc. Poor baby, on top of being sick she's getting pecked on....

While I can't help you with a diagnosis on the problem with your hen, you did say that the wound on her head stays bloody from the other chickens....MOVE HER TO AN ISOLATED AREA as soon as you can! Once chickens see/taste blood it's downhill from there. Put her in a dog crate with her own water/feed, etc. Poor baby, on top of being sick she's getting pecked on....

I'm sorry I should have also said that my hen IS in an isolated area already,she is on a schedule where she has free reign outside for fresh air and grass she stays out there with her feed and water,then when it gets dark I move her to the garage to stay in a cardboard box with fresh hay until morning which I clean out every day.

Her bloody head has been bloody since I separated her.I clean her wound with clean water before I treat her head diligently with neosporin every day.But for some reason it isn't healing.

Oops! My bad...okay, so her wound isn't healing properly. Rather than use Neosporin on it you should probably clean it real well with Betadine, and then spray Vetericyn on it...that stuff sort of encases the wound and aids in faster healing. Is there any way you can let her outside so that the others can't get to her?

As I've already said she has free-reign outside! The other chickens are penned up in their chicken house.None of them have have been near her since she has been sick.the only company she has are myself and my ducks which are mortally afraid of her!

they don't touch her!I should definitely try to find some Betadine and Vetericyn!
