This little 'un was ID'd as a roo 6-8 weeks ago. I see the red shoulders and I guess those are three lines in the pea comb, but it does not act anything like my other young cockerels. He is such a mama's boy that he still stays with her at every moment, even when she's laying, which she's been doing for about a month now. He shows absolutely no posturing, no aggression, nothing but hiding under his mom's wings (or trying--he's almost as big as she!) and following her around. He's coming up on 4 months old! Is there a chance it is a pullet after all? Yes, the little red hen next to him in most shots is his mama.

Cockerel

Thanks. I think that's likely. I was just kinda' hoping we might be wrong and it could be a pullet. I've never had a pea combed cockerel, so I find it hard to distinguish him from my pea combed pullets (different ages). I assume he'll finally realize he is a roo and start acting like it...
